Not completing Edge Mow mode

Step 1 – Place the mower just behind the base station facing the wire and send it to “Go Home” (so it will go all around the perimeter wire with the blades Off).

Walk behind it and watch closely to find out where it slips, drive wheels are digging in, drive wheel falls into a lower area such as bed edging, front wheel gets hung on a root, too narrow passage, too high slope for edge (Above 6 degrees for RC) or any other obstacle making the mower stop.

Have you found a spot that physically prevents it from continuing to edge?

If Yes – Remove the obstacle or adjust the perimeter wire installation. Problem solved.

If No – Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2 – Change the display to Special Display at Service ⇢ 897 ⇢ Information ⇢ Special Displays ⇢ Sensors ⇢ Wire Sensors.

Send the mower to go home again just a few feet after the base station, walk beside it and watch the wire sensors special display. Observe if the wire sensors indicate something different when the mower stops on the wire or leaves it before it arrives at the base station.

If it does, replace parts in this order: Base Station Head, Front Board, Main Board, Wire Harness between them.

Did this solve the issue?

If Yes – Problem solved.

If No – Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3 – Change the display to Special Display at Service ⇢ 897 ⇢ Information ⇢ Special Displays ⇢ Drive Motors.

Send the mower to go home again just a few feet after the base station, walk beside it and watch the drive motors special display. Observe if the drive motors value indicates something different when the mower stops on the wire or leaves it before it arrives at the base station.

If it does, replace parts in this order: Drive Motors, Main Board, Wire Harness between them.

Did this solve the issue?

If Yes – Problem solved.

If No – Consult with level 3 technical support.
