Mower ignores area (Main & Sub Zones)

Step 1 – Is it a new installation or have changes been made in the lawn/installation wire lately?

If Yes – Proceed to Step 2.

If No – Proceed to Step 3.

Step 2 – Are you sure the installation was done according the rules, and the lawn size settings (on the mower menu) are the actual dimensions?

If Yes – Proceed to Step 3.

If No – Recheck the installation and the mower’s settings. If a wrong installation or settings were found, correct it and let the mower complete full mowing cycle (2-3 days) in order to understand if the coverage problem was solved or still exists.

Step 3 – Is Near Wire Follow turned on for a sub zone that has a narrow pass in it or even a narrow area of less than 10 feet (3m) between the wires?

If Yes – Turn Near Wire Follow Off for any zone which has a narrow area in it or leading to it. Otherwise the mower on near wire follow will get stuck in this zone or never get to it from main zone.

If No – Proceed to Step 4.

Step 4 – Are there obstacles on the lawn or on the edge that block the mower and prevent it from completing mowing there?

If Yes – Remove the obstacle(s) that block the mower and let it complete full mowing cycle (2-3 days) to understand if the coverage problem was solved or still exists.

If No – Proceed to Step 5.

Step 5 – Place the mower in the base station, and send it to mow, starting with Edge mode. Edge mode means it will not use Near Wire Follow and stay on the wire. Did the mower complete a full edge mowing all along the wire and returned to base Station before it started to mow inside the lawn?

If Yes – Proceed to Step 6.

If No – Follow the mower on Edge mow and find out what stops it from completing the whole edge all the way back to the base station. If it stops for no apparent reason while edging, scroll up to learn what is the last stop cause and act accordingly.

Step 6 – Place the mower in front of the uncut area and send the mower to mow (not to Edge) in order to let the mower start mowing in Scan mode immediately.

Does the mower drive and mow in that area without problems?

If Yes – Let the mower complete the next few operations to understand if the problem was sporadic or recurrent.

If No – Take some pictures or make a schematic drawing of the lawn, including how the wire is installed on the lawn and where the mower ignores areas. Send it to customer support and consult with them. They can look at the mower’s mowing history and sometimes find why it ignores areas.
