For RC Models
If the Narrow Pass is between 3ft and 6.5ft wide:
- At the point you want the mower to start driving towards the Sub-Zone, you can begin to set the Narrow Pass.
- About 20in (50cm) from the Narrow Pass entry, set a Perimeter Island of 12in (30cm) sides at a distance of 4in (10cm) from the Perimeter Wire.
- Continue to lay the wire towards the Sub-Zone and lay another island with the same dimensions, 20in (50cm) from the Sub-Zone Perimeter Wire.
- After completing the setup of the wire in the Sub-Zone, make sure you keep 4in (10cm) between the wire and the islands on the way back to the Main Zone.
If the Narrow Pass is wider than 6.5ft:
- At the point you want the mower to start driving towards the Sub-Zone, you can begin to set the Narrow Pass.
- Set an island at the middle of the Narrow Pass and keep a distance of 4in (10cm) from the Perimeter Wire.
- The island dimensions should be 12in (30cm) along the side and as wide as needed, keeping 4in (10cm) from both sides.
- After completing the setup of the wire in the Sub-Zone, make sure you keep 4in (10cm) between the wire and the island on the way back to the Main Zone.
For RS Models
Robomow can handle a narrow passage of at least 4ft (1.2m) and wider. The length of a narrow passage can be up to several feet (a few meters).
If the pass is narrow (4ft – 6.5ft/1.2 – 2m), you have to set a special Perimeter Wire configuration in order to lead Robomow in and out of the pass. You can use the Special Template supplied with Robomow to set the narrow pass.
If the Narrow Passage is wider than 6.5ft (2m), and you want Robomow to mow the area inside the Narrow Passage, you can set the perimeter wire in such a way that allows Robomow to mow inside the Narrow Passage but prevents it from crossing between the zones.
For RX Models
Robomow RX can handle narrow passages of 1.9ft (57cm) and wider. The distance between the perimeter wires in such passage should be at least 0.5ft (15cm).
