Software Resets – Types and when to use

Software Reset
When mower behaves oddly (i.e., will not go to a zone you just set, out of the base station, will not show the icon for going home), be sure to record all current settings since they will be erased. Then perform a Software Reset by pressing the Red Stop bar and Return at the same time for 5 seconds.

Hardware Reset
After replacing a Front Board, perform a Hardware Reset by pressing the Red Stop bar plus the up and down arrows together for 5 seconds.

When Buttons Shortcut Fails
Sometimes performing a reset fails when using the buttons shortcut. In this case, go to Service ⇢ 897 ⇢ Settings ⇢ Factory Default. Then scroll to the desired option and press GO. There are are 3 reset options available:

Main Board – Hardware Reset. Record all current settings. It will also prompt you to calibrate the Front Wheel, Bumper and Wire Sensors.

Software – Software Reset. Record all current settings. After which, you will have to enter the current date, time and all other settings.

Out of the Box – Erases everything except the calibrations. Allows you to re-do the one time setup procedure.

NOTE: Shortcuts are not active when Anti-Theft is enabled on the mower.
